I am a self taught musician, with 30 years experience. I have been a guitarist since 1985, a Vocalist & Songwriter since 1995, a Composer since 2005 and now also a Music Tutor. Im also the founder of a Collective soon to be organisation, supporting & promoting Scottish Composers & Songwriters for Film, Tv, Media.
I will always support our Students and will try our utmost to secure gigs for them, should they be inclined to do so.
I am also the founder of the Scottish Composers & Songwriters Collective and involved in Creative Development of Scottish Indie Film & Music projects and events.
Here is one of my former students performing with Scotland's Sandi Thom. Rebecca has now started a Music Production course at college in Edinburgh, Aug 2015. Im very proud of her. She has performed since she was 10 and I secured gigs for her as well as Radio interviews. Rebecca also won a Youth Saltire Award for her music and ability.
Im a self produced Songwriter and has signed Music Publishing Contracts for my own songs with Music Publishers in the USA. In late 2014, I signed six Master Agreements for my songs to be to be pitched/used in Film/TV with a Music Licence company in California. I record my material at home with Music Production Software/Midi and Ive also produced high quality, professional demos (with or without full backing) for other music artists.
Im a "Musician's Musician" - With experience in Rock, Indie, Grunge/Metal, Blues, Country, Punk, Americana, 50's Rock & Roll, 60s & 70's Rock, Acoustic/Electric and also Film Soundtrack/Instrumental. My Instrumental work has been featured in Film Shorts and short Documentaries. During my college years in Glasgow, in the 90s, I studied "Sound & Video Recording" for a year, then "Music Tecchnology & Management" for a year and finally "Information Studies" for the last year. I have 12 years experience in IT Support, so this helps with Music Technology and Recording using computers/software.
